The Melting Pot in Arlington off of Fairfax Dr. and in DC The Capital Grille. In Crystal City Ruth Cris has an amazing view of National Airport and DC. Sit by the window, the food is excelent as well.

Maggiano's is a chain and would be a horrible place to go with all the other options here. A better french place is Bistro Bis, but kind of pricey. It's sister restaurant is even better a kind of contemporary southern american fare called Vidalia. I went for my birthday this year and loved it. Another great place along the same lines is arcadia, another southern type fancy restaurant.

Bangkok 54 is an amazing thai restaurant, best in the country as far as I'm concerned. Directly next to it is the best Japanese restaurant around called Matuba. Another is 1.1.1.Another pricier place (the first 2 are very reasonable) is Tallula, with a great wine selection. Willow is new and also a bit pricey but very good. Sawatdee is a cheaper Thai option that is up there with Bangkok 54. Jaleo has a restaurant in Crystal city that is much less busy than the DC location, but just as good (Spanish Tapas if you’re unaware). Oyamel is next door and is a great upscale Mexican restaurant (I know that sounds like an oxymoron but believe me it’s worth a try).

Capital Grille is overpriced and just a plain old steakhouse.

Willow is a new restaurant in Arlington that is amazing. Good luck!

Legal Sea Food. They have great tasting seafood. Chowders and Cream of Crab soup are the best. Friendly and helpful servers.
