Minerva specializes in vegetarian southern Indian cuisine in possibly the largest, most varied lunch-time (including weekends) buffets I've ever seen (I go to a lot of Indian restaurants). It's delicious, fresh, the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. It is very popular with a diversity of people, but it seems that many Indian people patronize the restaurant, a good sign! Despite its being full whenever I've gone (always to lunch), it never feels cramped, and I've never had problems being seated, since it's spacious. It's at the corner of Shady Grove Road and Rockville Pike (Rt. 355) not far from the Shady Grove Metro. I've taken many groups of friends there--we're pretty-much Euro-American--and they've all loved it.
