I haven't been to Georgetown Cupcakes specifically but when I asked at other gourmet cupcake shops, their answers were always along the lines of a classic frosting (Buttercream, Cream Cheese) made with real ingredients and sometimes chilled before piping. Sometimes they use more original recipes but you can make a very fluffy and white frosting with classic frosting recipes like these.

Buttercream Frosting

1 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla (or any other you want to incorporate) extract

4 cups confectioner's sugar

Cream together butter and extract and then add sugar one cup at a time.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1/2 cup of butter (1 stick), room temperature

8 oz of Philly cream cheese (1 package), room temperature

2 - 3 cups of powdered sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

They use a vanilla cream cheese icing - The recipe they gave on Martha Stewart awhile back, but one is actually here: http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/vanilla-frosting-georgetown-cupcake?lnc=5a79cf380e1dd010VgnVCM1000005b09a00aRCRD&rsc=recipecontent_food
